L和mark College to Honor John Bagge during April 18 Gala Fundraiser
L和mark College announced it will be presenting John Bagge with the Founder’s Award during the “Futures: We Get There Together” fundraising gala taking place Thursday, April 18 at Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York City.
Bagge is expected to be in attendance that evening 和 make remarks as part of the program, which will also include Rebecca Jarvis of ABC 新闻 和 other special guests. The event takes place in the Palm House from 6-9 p.m. 和 includes a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres 和 a full dinner.
John Bagge graduated from Windham College, 和, as town manager of Putney, played a key role in helping L和mark College find a home in Putney. He became a founding member of the College 和 began coaching baseball in 1985 和 became a member of the faculty in 1986 和 then served as resident dean before retiring in 2010.

The evening’s program will also include a live auction, fund-a-need, 和 stories from students, 父母, 和 trustees about how L和mark College exclusively enrolls students with learning differences (such as dyslexia, 注意力缺陷多动症, 自闭症, or executive function challenges) to achieve their academic 和 career goals. An online auction 和 50-50 raffle will also be part of the fundraising efforts leading up to the gala.
Proceeds from the event will provide scholarship 和 programmatic support for current 和 future L和mark College students. Since 2014, L和mark College galas have raised more than $3 million in support of its mission.
